“In short Hutton's 5 star reviews are deserved. I can't imagine going anywhere else for repairs. I had a pair of Scarpa walking shoes which were well loved. I had worn away the Vibram sole and had looked at the cost of buying a new pair. It was going to be a lot more than I paid for the first pair so I wondered about getting the sole replaced. I looked online and saw that Hutton's did Vibram repairs. I took some pictures of the shoes and sent an email asking for advice and a price. I got a quick response, a sensible quote and a clear indication of how long I might need to wait, so I decided to give Hutton's a try. I was quoted three weeks for the work to be done, it was completed sooner than that but more importantly the results are wonderful. You can see from the pictures which are the before and after. The replacement Vibram sole is a bit heavier than the original, but that means that they will last for years. On the strength of my first experiences, I took in another pair of Scarpa shoes which were also in need of a new sole. These have also been repaired, using a different type of sole which was ideal for the shoe. Hutton's also repaired a pair of hiking boots I had. The sole was in good condition but the mid sole was falling apart and the whole thing looked like it would come off. I didn't think they could be repaired. I regret not taking a before picture, but I picked them up yesterday and they look brand new. Have a look at the picture below, it doesn't do justice to the quality of the repair. I really couldn't be happier with the results and the service.”
