“DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IF YOU ONLY WANT TO PAY TO HAVE A JOB DONE ONCE!! James Allen Stonemasons completed over £4000 of re-pointing work on our house in July and by October- the problem we had asked them to fix was back!! We had a plant growing out of the stonework that had been repointed just 4 months before- (having asked the surveyor who came to quote and following up in an email before the work was done for this to be removed). I got in touch to ask them to honour their guarantee and come and fix it- to which they refused and told me we would have to pay additionally for the work to be carried out (AGAIN). They proudly state on their website that they have never gone back to do remedial work on a job they have done- and I think this must be because they refuse to do so. £4k down, the problem we asked to be solved is not solved and we’re having to start the work all over again. Had an email conversation with them to this end, to which they claimed that the issue was never detailed in their work schedule (despite there being a photo taken by the surveyor in the report they wrote). After we challenged this they simply stopped replying. Thoroughly disappointed in the communication and the lack of decency shown by this company. Have attached before and after photos highlighting the issue was not resolved!”

“Unfortunately I hired this stonemason for wall repairs and DOF steam cleaning @ The Coach House, 30c Colinton Road. Inexperienced operatives and wrong colours used for repairs. When I tried to resolve this with James Allan Stonemason complete silence. I paid this company in full and then hired Marionville Masonry to sort out the mess, the standard of the original work was not acceptable and the other stonemasons I approached all commented on this.”
