“I bought a new car key at £130 and when I finally went to use it it's not worked, I've had to call out the AA and they've said it's the key that's at fault. When I took it back it was very poor customer service from the word go. I dealt with Joanne at the Corstorphine branch and when she opened up the key there was no chip in it. She she was very dismissive and rude, and said there's no way they'd have sent it out without a chip - that somebody's opened up the key and lost it. I said that must have been the AA guy then - after it it was already broken (otherwise why would I call them out). Now in a catch-22 limbo. Never at any point did anybody apologise. I was treated disgustingly poorly, no attempt at mediation - trying to offer up a solution like replacement of the chip at cost etc. I could have walked out of there rating the services 10/10, but instead I'll NEVER use them again. Now I'm off to tell more people how bad the services is, nice job Timpson! AMENDMENT After kicking up a stick on their feedback form, google, Trust Pilot and Yell the area manager Euan got in touch to say just come back to the shop and we'll fix the key. Well done Timpson for responsive. Updated this review from 1 star to 3 star.”
