The team at Playfair took me from zero experience to being able to successfully compete in my first local comps in no time. Overall Its a very freindly and relaxed environment for all new comers to the sport; of all ages and all abilities for sure. Theres a strongly diverse demographic. Additionally, theres an excellent cohort of competition level men and women, who happily offer support and always around to learn from. The gyms staff are always highly accomodating and very happy to support your personal training progression. I.e keeping it casual or being abmitious. I found this approach created a very good community. The staffing team is really varied which is an absolute strength for this gym. And the new facilities are up and coming which is nice to see the development and ongoing success and reinvestment. Special mentions to: Steven and Mariusz Niall, Derrie, John, Zac and Dan. “Dropped in for a one off session while travelling from Australia and had such a lovely experience. As a female in the BJJ space I felt comfortable respected and genuinely welcomed which always means a lot. I did not have my own gi with me and they were kind enough to lend me one which was so appreciated. Everyone was friendly talented and made the session really enjoyable. The all white gym is bright clean and beautiful and just has a really nice energy. Such a great place to train and I would happily drop in again.”
