“Best chippy in Edinburgh and thusly the best chippy in the world. I’d have it tied with the Fishmarket in Newhaven on quality but you get a bigger portion here and it’s cheaper (£10 fish supper!) so this one wins out! The owner is lovely as are his team. The shop itself is nothing fancy but it’s clean and there’s a stool to sit on while you wait, (or avoid the wait and order ahead-they’ll tell you exactly how long it will take-10 mins for a fish supper-15 if they’re super busy-they are always prompt). It’s rarely less than 10 mins as everything is cooked fresh to order. If I was to suggest anything it’s only be that their fish supper tastes fancy enough to justify a lemon wedge!”
