“Where to begin? Well starting with the man: Stewart Inkster is professional and polite (and charming). He does not have his children’s inheritance in mind when estimating (he never did tell me a price but in the end I felt the bill was fair). He spent a considerable amount of time climbing and shaking garden walls proving to me the limits of work NOT to be done, emphasizing only what was truly indicated. He explained his work lasts about a lifetime. After devising a plan, he returned with his team: all friendly, polite, and absolutely meticulous. Stewart is like a marine: his staff follow his letter of the law observing all his safety policies including proper attire. I might add that they are punctual. About the workmanship: it left me with my jaw dropped. Stewart is so particular about his work, I watched him rebuild a part of the wall four times. He assembled it to the top (and I thought he was done…it looked very nice) and then the next time I looked out my window it was in pieces on the ground and there he was chipping and shaving away minute bits of stone. PERFECTIONIST! Like the most fussy, precise stone mason in the world. No, I am NOT exaggerating. The walls are STUNNING and I expect will last four lifetimes. No, I was not paid to write this about Stewart, nor did I receive a discount, nor did he threaten my family. He really is the BEST! Hire him if you are lucky enough to find he is available. PS He also found other tradespeople to help me with my home. Who does that? Stewart is a knight in very shiny armor!”
