“AVW Gilmerton were extremely disappointing. I took my car in, paid £600, and they failed to fix half the faults it was booked in for. On top of that, when I dropped the car off I also made them aware of another fault and was told it would be taken care of — it never was. When I phoned back to ask why, they then tried saying they had nothing written down for that fault, which is either poor record-keeping or a convenient excuse. Either way, not acceptable after charging that amount of money. I rebooked the car and was told I could bring it in that same day at whatever time I could manage. On the day, I was then phoned and told 2pm was too late. When I explained I was working until 1:30pm, I was met with a blunt “oh well” and the phone was hung up on me. That is terrible customer service. Whoever is handling the phones or front desk was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Turning away paying customers like that is a great way to lose business. £600 spent, faults still unresolved, and zero respect shown to the customer. I won’t be returning and would advise others to look elsewhere.”
