“I strongly advise anyone thinking of using Auto Technicals to stay away. I trusted them with my Audi S3 for a full service including DSG and Haldex, and it turned into the most expensive mistake I’ve ever made with a car. After their “service”, my car broke down on the M8 and I was stranded for hours. An independent Audi specialist inspected it and confirmed there was no DSG oil in the gearbox at all. That means the service I paid for was either not done or done completely incorrectly. Because of this, my mechatronic unit failed and eventually my entire gearbox was destroyed. I’ve now had to pay £2,000 for a replacement gearbox, on top of all the diagnostic and repair costs. Auto Technicals have not taken responsibility, not helped, and not refunded anything. My car was driving perfectly before they touched it. After their work, it was ruined. This experience has cost me thousands of pounds and months of stress. Based on what happened to me, I would never trust this garage with any vehicle — especially not a VW or Audi.”

A DSG service without oil is not a service. It’s either extreme incompetence or work that was never done properly. Because of this, the mechatronic unit failed and the entire gearbox had to be replaced at a cost of £2,000, plus diagnostics and additional repairs. Thousands of pounds lost. Months of stress. And absolutely no responsibility taken. We would strongly warn anyone, especially VW or Audi owners to think very carefully before trusting this garage with their car.”
