“This is the real deal and worth the fuss. Hours are limited - even though the bakers are seen inside preparing the dough the day before opening, the sourdough takes time to rise and a lot of work is put into each loaf. This is true sourdough mastery and quality work which takes time to make. Check hours- I think they are only open Wednesday through Saturday but that’s what you want from your baker in that everything is made from scratch and no shortcuts are taken. Sourdough cinnamon rolls are the best I’ve had in Edinburgh , and I have enjoyed samplings from 20+ other artisan locations. Cinnamon rolls are gone by noon, get there between 10-11 for a reasonable chance to score one. The bread is incredible. I very highly recommend the baguettes - delightfully delicious on their own- before you know it the whole loaf is gone! This is the one bakery I would visit if I could only pick one.”

The owner is incredibly kind and deeply cares about the community as you can tell by the amount of community posters he allows people to display. The food is fantastic - people go absolutely wild for their bread and the coffee is always lovely. I really recommend going along to try and to support such an important local business.”

Using the best quality ingredients. Using high quality ingredients make all the difference! Alan, the owner and baker, and his staff are wonderful people, who go the extra mile to help, even offering to deliver the bread to home address due to a particular reason. Highly recomend”
